Popular With The Proletariat, Enrique Pena Nieto Continues His Rapid Rise In Mexican Politics

Enrique Peña Nieto is the official presidential candidate of the Partido Revolucionario Institucional or PRI to the 2012 Mexican Presidential Elections. Prior to the announcement of his presidential candidacy, the 45-year old Mexican politician served as governor of the State of Mexico from 2005 to 2011. Enrique has prepared for politics with a law degree and an MBA.

Peña Nieto has been a member of PRI since 1984. He first worked as an instructor in PRI's Electoral Training Center before becoming Coordinator for the party's Parliamentary Group in the LV Legislature. At the same time, he was Chairman of the Political Coordination Board of the same legislature.

He was involved in the Mexican State government from the 90's up until 2002. Government Administration Secretary, President of the Directive Council for the Social Security Institute, President of the Internal Council of Health Institute and Vice President of the Government Board for Integral Family Development System, are all positions he held during his time with the state government of Mexico. He joined the Public Administration and the Administrative Council for Decentralized Public Agencies.

Enrique Pena Nieto has been actively working within the PRI party in various capacities, even as political advisor to PRI National. Everything he has done within the PRI organization has led up to this moment in time as a presidential candidate. It is difficult to say if his goal from the beginning was to become a presidential candidate, but his tireless work for the state government of Mexico has made him a formidable opponent.

He promoted candidates for governorship of the state of Mexico in 2004 from within and knows firsthand about the process. Because of his experience, he was able to win against such candidates as, Guillermo González Martínez, Gustavo Cárdenas Monroy, Jaime Vázquez Castillo, Eduardo Bernal Martínez, Fernando Alberto García Cuevas, Cuauhtémoc García Ortega, Isidro Pastor Medrano, Enrique Jacob Rocha, Héctor Luna de la Vega and Carlos Hank Rhon. He became a gubernatorial candidate of the PRI in February 2005.

Voting was on July 3, 2005. 49 percent of the people voted for him. He was sworn in as governor on September 15, 2005.

Advocacies on environment, energy reform and sustainable development and the acceleration of educational reform in support of youth empowerment and employment generation, all items on his list of things to get done. His collaboration with the government of Mexico City during his term as state governor to combat issues related to safety, insecurity and transport between the two political entities was a notable feat. The state's economy, housing and agriculture business all benefited from his time in office.

His run for the presidency began when he finished his term as governor. Senator Manlio Fabio Beltrones, Nieto's only opponent, has chosen not to run after all. Beltrone's decision not to run has enabled the PRI party to get behind Nieto one hundred percent.

Despite controversies, Pena Nieto is often referred to as the next president of Mexico. As part of his campaign to become president, he has held pretend presidential polls against his opponents. The Mexican people will decide the real winner on July 1 of this year.

The PRI hopes to regain the Presidency through this popular former governor of Mexico state. Enrique Peña Nieto claims to represent a new generation of politicians, unlike past dictatorial governments in his country. He thinks that he knows how to help Mexico shed its troubles and become the great nation it should be.

The Talents of Steve Heyer CEO

Given the relentless march of progress and history itself, businessmen have to always be ready to react to new developments. Such did he advocate ten years ago, and now people marvel to see how right he was. He delivered a keynote speech bearing this message to a group of 400 media, ad agency and entertainment executives during an “Advertising Age” conference in 2003.

The man occupies a top position in Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. His words from some years past were eventually continued in subsequent interrogations regarding them. He claimed that he is not marketing rooms in hotels but entertainment and lasting memories.

Heyer's emphasis was on the marketing of an experience. Memorable experiences, in other words, would be the products. This is a complete change in perspective and approach, although the product and services did not change at all.

Heyer believed that the future held great things by way of personalization. This is precisely what one now observes in businesses: customization. Nowhere is this more visible than in the technologically-centered industries.

We are seeing old forms of entertainment being given a run for their money by fresh avenues of media distribution. A lot of money was lost by those in the songwriting and production business, for example, because of data-ripping technologies. Consumers went online in droves when songs started becoming downloadable on sites for free.

The music industry momentarily went into chaos, which is a scenario referred to in Steven Heyer’s keynote address. Heyer told people in music production that they now had to adapt to this new setting, as it could no longer be stopped. It was necessary for other media producers, according to Heyer, to take note of this imperative for change.

What Heyer advocated was the shift from emphasis on the item to emphasis on the experiences associated with it. In the interview explaining his marketing strategy for Starwood Hotels, he furthered explained that they are now a company engaged in distributing entertainment and unforgettable experiences. Their focus now is not anymore on the beautiful hotels with a total worth of billion dollars but on the opportunities to create memories.

Indeed, Starwood has even come up with unusual partners in the enterprise, such as Victoria's Secret. Only certain persons in the Starwood hotels are allowed to attend the runway shows. This is a case of the product being an experience.

Heyer has not restrained from making critiques of Hollywood practices, like the meaningless appearance of brands in scenes. He calls the practice a “contextless” insertion of brand logos into movies or TV programs. Heyer argues against the practice by calling it both a useless appendage to the plot as well as a useless tool for a business.

Steve Heyer CEO used to head Coca Cola Ventures. It was during his work then that he showed what he meant by smart and relevant brand appearance in a video shot. He very subtly and effectively placed Coca Cola glasses on the “American Idol” judge’s table.

Businessmen and AACSB Online MBA Programs

In the case of an AACSB online MBA degree, who needs this form of education? Getting into a business school as an educator will be possible if you are able to get an AACSB-accredited business degree. But outside the academe, this particular accreditation is less critical, unless you desire to compete at the management/executive level.

Just recently, the Intel Corporation publicly announced that their corporate tuition assistance program would only reimburse for MBA degrees completed at AACSB accredited schools. In campus or not, you will get tuition support for as long as your school is AACSB accredited. If you manage to get a business degree from a school with the AACSB's seal of approval, you will have an edge professionally.

The AACSB is the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. What you have here is a private accrediting body that deals with al sorts of schools that offer business and accounting programs. This accrediting body has been around for decades continually watching over business schools.

Due to their longevity not to mention their consistency, there are tons of Ivy League business schools that have applied for Arcs accreditation. The thing about MBA courses from top notch schools such as Yale and Stanford is that these have all been certified by the AACSB. Of these, the Duke University offers an AACSB online MBA degree program.

Something that you really should know is that schools do not need to be accredited by the AACSB for them to legally offer all kinds of MBA programs. There was a study on MBAs that was conducted recently and according to the results, a number of accredited online courses have failed to abide by the standards of the AACSB. There are so many things in store for those who manage to complete an AACSB accredited MBA degree but even if this is so, there is a limited number of institutions that have this particular form of accreditation.

An accreditation from the AACSB is not the only bearing for schools when it comes to something like educational quality. In fact, many online schools that do not follow AACSB standards may even offer a more comprehensive and innovative program of study. Accreditation from the AACSB is sometimes not preferred by several schools and this is because being bound by the regulations prevents them from designing programs that can suit typical students as well as the older, more experienced ones.

The thing about an AACSB online MBA is that the accreditation jacks up the costs of studying making a conventional MBA more feasible for most students. If you do not have a thirty grand budget, do not enroll in an AACSB online MBA program. Without the seal of approval of the AACSB, expect to pay 23000 for an MBA.

Choosing a regionally certified course will lead to 10000 in savings. If you are working with limited funds, forego the program with the AACSB seal. With an AACSB accreditation, MBAs will be harder to accomplish too so think about this.

You might be wondering why this is so. Besides having an undergraduate GPA that is above average, it is also mandatory that you pass the Graduate Management Admissions Test. What you have here are the requirements that make these accredited courses not feasible for most students.

To sum up everything, there are several reasons to consider an AACSB online MBA degree. It is great if you are competing in a highly competitive career field in an urban setting and you don't mind getting the GMAT or GRE because you are confident you can get high scores in both. Also, you might get it if academic prestige matters most to you or you have a corporate tuition plan that only pays for an AACSB-accredited school.
